Still more fog so it’s close up time!

I wish this fog would lift it’s becoming a little dull........ Today’s daily V stroll occurred in fog again, as I walked out of the drive I spotted this weed growing up through the gravel and the light was perfect. This is a photographers curse you see things like this and have to take the shot! The images of Indi are of her strolling slowly down the path towards the woods, she hears a click of the gate and goes into “alert” mode - it’s so funny at 10 years old. She sadly suffers from DM (degenerative Myelopathy) this slowly causes the back legs to become paralysed and it’s incurable. It’s so sad seeing her like this, as soon as the condition affects daily life a difficult decision needs to be made. I do hope you enjoy looking at my images from today.

More fog today still not lifting

More fog photos today as it was hanging around  The V shines at tricky exposure like fog as most cameras would be fooled by the mass of white. Not many photos today although you can’t fail to be mesmerised by the peaceful blanket covering everything.

Today’s photos are simple FOG!

Many would say what’s the point in taking a camera out when it’s foggy? I do always the v does fog! So as the heading suggests why take a camera out on a foggy day? Well I think the slightly ethereal look to the images speak for themselves. At the last photo you at least get a real sense of colour!

Thawing frost first thing in the morning

The gate to my house seemed to almost be steaming so I did the right thing... The day started with a fairly decent frost and it was thawing in the sun as we made our way out, this features in my first shot of the day.

Yet more V Photowalk photos

A few selections from my views today It was Bosnia’s usual for me and the V with Indi on our stroll.. One of the shots features a ladybird trying to hibernate on a branch, almost back home I saw my favourite cat and well it seemed rude not to take a picture!

The day started with a quick portrait of next doors cat

I walked outside to feed Indi and noticed that next doors cat was on the gate - well I couldn’t resist!  It was a perfect shot as the cat was on a gate next door, being fixed len I engaged the zoom function on the X100V - I walked nearer to the cat. It arrived a few years ago on my back doorstep bedraggled on a December night, it was a tiny kitten so I bought it in and dried it off. Obviously Indi was a bit over interested so I took it next door and there the cat has stayed ever since!   So after we had lunch the rain stopped so we went out for a very short stroll Indi was limping

A bit of wooden pen turning

So I have included a creative image of my other passion pen turning...... Indi was a bit steady as we set out for our daily stroll, she seem to be ageing fast these days. She likes to carry a ball on a rope as it makes her feel that she is doing a job! I have also included an image from my pen turning workshop as I thought it looked creative

So today started with a winter sunrise

Up reasonably early for the winter sunrise An early start (we were COVID lockdown shopping click and collect) so as I was about to warm up the car as it was freezing! The sunrise was photographed to bring up the shadows and it showed the highlights emphasising the edges of the fence and gate. Then off for a walk with Indi to capture more beautiful images of the countryside that’s literally on my doorstep. If you have to do lockdown we are very lucky in this location - sorry to those less fortunate.

A Sunday stroll out with the V

More photos shooting Velvia with the V As I have said before Fujifilm have a legacy of colour and history in film emulsion styles. The Velvia simulation brings out the colours of the scene and is perfect for nature and landscape photography, I always shoot jpeg and the Fuji jpegs are infinitely adjustable within camera. The V even features a Clarity setting, although I use it sparingly it’s a great addition. Also the camera feature probably not mentioned much is the “blue” filter setting, this is perfect to bring out the real blues of sky and seascape views. I hope you enjoy the photography please comment if you would like to I am happy to answer any questions

The V photowalk today

So more V images today my favourite the puddle is first! So a mixed bag again today but as I said above the puddle shot really made me create the scene.
