COVID times and some close up nature

So a black and white image of an abandoned COVID mask to some close up nature.. The close focus of the V isn’t really shown much on reviews and you tube, I did some today to feature on here to show its ability. Obviously it’s not true “macro” but is pretty close. Hopefully someone will get pleasure from my images.

Just one photo today says it all

One V shot captured by me makes me go wow! I don’t often shoot landscape in BW but today it’s my absolute favourite so it’s the only one!

Muddy walk with the V

Muddy walking today, still Indi enjoyed it. It was difficult to get motivated photography wise today, so it seems to be the V that’s the tonic to this malaise. So below are just a few photographs that I took, the leaf in the mud seems to say that “ok that’s it my year is finished”. The next shot in black and white shows the winters sky against the dark trees. The worn out bracken caught my eye so it’s a beautiful winter feature against the fading colours, soon even this will disappear. The very last shot is of a tiny oak tree just starting to grow, beautiful but it won’t be safe there I feel.

Indi my GSD

So tonight was an Indi photography evening.  I created this montage just for something to do in this lockdown... The following photography was done whilst Indi was waiting for her dinner outside by the shed. It's a routine we have obviously carried out every day for 10 years now. She waits patiently then always pops her head around the door - just to check if it's ready! The original photography was done in Acros one of Fuji's great jpeg simulation effects. I basically took them into LR and warmed the shadows and used split tone on the outside one. All lit by the lights from the shed.

A mixture on a mild cloudier day

The V Photowalk more images processing with some presets that give a nostalgic feel. So I used some Adobe LR presets with my shots today and I quite like the warm feeling in the shadows that they give. One shot was done on my Pixel 3 phone today too!

Another Fuji V photowalk

Out again with the amazing V So I am writing this blog a little bit later today as I have been busy wood turning pens! I will add a photo of today's efforts in turning below. Photowalk wise some lovely shots from today including a nice BW of Indi from this evening

Today’s Fuji Photowalk

What a wet and windy day! Still had to go out as I do seven days a week regardless. So we went out for our Fuji Photowalk and today was difficult as it was raining very heavily- see the photo of the X100V later in the post. I never realised how useful weather sealing was until today. My first shot is my favourite it shows rain my last shot is of my friend and neighbour sorting out the wiring for the village tree lights, an annual affair as he is a an electrician. I used the WCL wide adapter for these shots.
