Spring isn’t far away

It seems that spring isn’t far away.... With the PM going on TV tomorrow night hopefully allowing us out of this lockdown even some of the flowers are responding to the news that spring isn’t far away.

Thinking about only one shot of the day

One shot of the day perhaps?  I am working on on one V shot of the day on each blog post but am still getting amazing images from it can’t stop posting! The last two shots are the same but different film simulations I am liking classic negative now too

Wide angle RAW shoot today

Wide angle lens converter today... I shot with the V in RAW today and whilst processing the images on the Ipad12.9 Pro (best editing device I have found) I swayed towards the classic negative film simulation. The muted tones and details seemed to suit the days stroll really, I used to edit on an IMac and whilst a great machine for this I was never comfortable with the use of it (my body wise) so I may be selling it if anyone is interested? So have a look at today’s efforts. I also have a question for any viewers? I am plan to buy the Sony RX10IV and shoot images of birds and other shots, I want to incorporate the shots from it on here. What should I call the blog? Fuji X100 V and large zoom friend?

Waiting for the rain to stop

We waited for the rain to stop  After the rain me and my best friend decided to go on our usual walk around the woods the V came of course. The  birds were singing loudly in there, absolutely beautiful.

A walk with Indi and we met her best friend

A walk with Indi and the V  A bit of a social (distanced) walk today Indi met her very best friend Otis the same age as her Labrador  The first shot of Indi was at ISO 1600, I remember digital cameras I owned like the original Canon 5 D that couldn’t do a decent ISO 800 photo!

Out we go again

The v and it’s detail and colour - does it punch above its weight? The X100V is definitely a premium photographers camera it demands to be used and achieves to excel in its class. The lens is definitely better on the MK2 version. I owned a Sony RXR1 ii this was a full frame beast of a fixed lens camera, the V really gets very close even though it’s sensor is much smaller. The extra elements within this later version lens really help with its fine detail and shadow and contrast. Obviously I am an X100 “fanboy” and this is true, but if I as a user of a full frame Sony believe that this APSC sensor nearly beats it and sometimes excels it then I feel justified! So below are today’s efforts

The V goes out for some close focus

The day was so much better and more mild, shots after the rain.... Not much is spoken about the close focus ability of the X100V so here will be some samples today. It’s obviously not a “macro” lens but it does do a pretty good job close up. As the MK2 lens is a tad sharper at close distance it gives a pretty good rendition of close up, also with 26mp size images you can crop and still retain a high degree of image quality. I hope today’s photography helps show this. Indi barking because of postman
