Fuji X100V Daily Photos

Fuji X100V Daily

So I decided to build a blog about daily photos with my beautiful Fuji X100V

I have been a Fuji X photographer for over 10 years and especially the X100.

The fixed lens really helps with creativity

This image was shot underneath my car port

The top light really helped with the shadows

I have found walking out and about with my camera a mindful experience, it helps you balance with nature and slow down in this difficult world.

The leaves above seem to show sadness at the change of the seasons resting peacefully on a fallen tree
Exposure wise for those that are photographers 1/30 sec shutter speed f 3.6 ISO 500, it’s easy to handhold the X100V for a shot like this. I suppose some would ask why not use a phone for these shots?
I understand this but being a photographer you need to use a camera!

  2. Couldn't agree more! I find something oddly 'wrong' about using my phone for photos...

  3. Nice pics, Alex. Looking to buy a Fuji X100V, Sony RX1 or Ricoh GR. Do you think the Fuji is better than Sony? Not that familiar with Fuji.

  4. Hi I have owned the RXR1 ii and although the photos were fabulous the menu system and weak battery were it's downfall.
The Ricoh GRiii is a great fixed lens camera very pocket friendly and superb sharp quality images.
The X100V beats the Sony full frame in some cases and the jpegs on X100V are insanely good - better than the Sony and the Ricoh
ISo performance is a close run thing between the Sony and the Fuji I have shot the Sony at 25600 ISo and it was very clean
    Hopefully this helps!

Macro photography

So this is a new passion for me - macro photography. The Olympus OMD EM1 MK3 has a great macro set up with the 60mm f2.8 macro lens. I also acquired a great flash diffuser to use with my Pixapro 350 flash. Here are some images Macro photography is a specialized form of close-up photography that focuses on capturing extremely detailed images of small subjects, typically at a magnification ratio of 1:1 or higher. The primary goal of macro photography is to reveal intricate details that are not easily visible to the naked eye, highlighting the beauty and complexity of the miniature world. Key features of macro photography: Magnification: The main characteristic that sets macro photography apart is the high level of magnification it achieves. This means that the subject appears life-size or larger on the camera sensor, showcasing even the tiniest details with exceptional clarity. Small Subjects: Macro photography primarily involves capturing subjects that are relatively small, such as inse...

More bird photography recently

I took some time out to walk around my village here in Haddenham. I often go out for "birding" walks as I call them, I have studied the locality and behaviour of the local bird life. This has helped with the shot of the Blue Tit as I was waiting for one to alight just where he sat so this worked well I have been doing images lately with my Olympus OMD EM1-X and an old 50-200 Olympus lens with the 1.4 converter which gives a real magnification of 585mm a good birding lens
