The Finepix at high ISO

Hi again and welcome to the blog. As you can see I have renamed the blog to MK1 Photography Blog, this was the name of my wedding photography website and as I am planning to pursue another venture I thought it would be apt. I am still using the Fuji Finepix X100 for much of the work seen on here but I have decided to pursue bird photography as a new passion. I sold the beautiful V which produced much of the work on here, I have purchased a Panasonic Lumix DMC G9 and 100-300 lens - this gives a 35 mm view of 200-600! It is a micro four thirds sensor but amazing quality. Anyway today's shot of Indi below shows the X100 camera at ISO 2500 and lit with my phone torch. The camera that took it was 11 years old and Indi is 11 years old too!

Finepix out in the frost

Finepix out in the cold.... It was very cold this morning and of course frost means photography! The little X100 worked perfectly and of course that Bayer sensor captured some beautiful photos. Hope you enjoy -keep shooting! Mark

A try out Fujifilm Finepix X100

Finepix X100 10 years young! Out with just the original X100 today as I said I am selling my V powerhouse of a beautiful camera and stepping back in time with the original X100. It's a true condition GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) I am have suffered from this too. In buying every version of the X100 but have kept the original in storage within my house. The Original, S,T and F all had the same f2 lens, the V had the MKII version which was sharper and much faster focusing than all the other variants put together. In looking back through Adobe Lightroom Mobile CC that I use on this Samsung Tablet the images looked very sharp but potentially too sterile in their output. I decided after watching Chris Orange on you tube ( very good channel) that he loved the older generations of sensor output, so I decided to break out the original the Fujifilm Finepix X100 from 2010 ( this started me with Fuji addiction) I saw it at the Photography Show and was smitten. I met a gentleman called David

A change for this blog!

Back to the Fujifilm Finepix X100 I made the decision to permanently go back to my original Fujifilm Finepix X100. I bought this for my 50th birthday nearly 10 years ago and I am planning to use it full time once again. The X100V whilst a technical marvel and wonderful camera seems to be without "soul" anymore to me. It's actually so good it makes it very difficult to take a bad photograph!  Then Fujifilm Finepix X100 is the Bayer sensor and at 12mp gives more film like quality to my images. I don't doubt I will miss the speed of focus and high ISO clean images, the MKII lens on the V is amazing at f2. The original not so sharp at f2. No WiFi , very few film simulations, fixed screen and low Res EVF So here we are at the turn of my 60th year going back to the Fujifilm Finepix X100. Below is my dear friend Indi and she is relaxing in her dri dog bag after a very early walk today for those that are interested this was at ISO 2000 not bad, not bad at all.
