Fuji X100V depth of field

What is depth of field? So we all like those photos with the dreamy smooth background and the subject sharp at the front? Well this is what depth of field is. Using the combination of aperture and lens combined we can create different effects- below is a shot with the V at an f stop that gives the ‘pop’ people like. As you can see the berries stand out from the background- they were about 2 feet in front of the tree

So what does my camera look like?

The Fuji X100V So here below is the Fuji X100V  It sports the Dead Camera strap from Portugal, You need to feel just how soft and beautifully crafted this is. Next you will see the hood from JJC it suits the retro look of the Fuji very well. Also pictured is my off camera flash system. I aim to provide a tutorial on here about that Also there are the two lens adaptors made by Fuji, these give a wide angle and more telephoto image when screwed onto the front of the lens.

Another Fuji X100V shot

Another V shot! So today I went out with my V again to create some more images with the little powerhouse that is the X100V Again having a fixed lens makes for creative fun and really challenges the photographer, I looked at some leaves up my garden and took a shot. Nothing major but again it helps the mind to be calm doing images! You have to love those Fuji colours! Another shot this time from a rainy start

Fuji X100V Daily Photos

Fuji X100V Daily So I decided to build a blog about daily photos with my beautiful Fuji X100V I have been a Fuji X photographer for over 10 years and especially the X100. The fixed lens really helps with creativity This image was shot underneath my car port The top light really helped with the shadows I have found walking out and about with my camera a mindful experience, it helps you balance with nature and slow down in this difficult world. The leaves above seem to show sadness at the change of the seasons resting peacefully on a fallen tree  Exposure wise for those that are photographers 1/30 sec shutter speed f 3.6 ISO 500, it’s easy to handhold the X100V for a shot like this. I suppose some would ask why not use a phone for these shots? I understand this but being a photographer you need to use a camera!
