Last day of 2020

Out for a shoot on the last day of the year... Very very frosty and foggy day for the last day of 2020 (good riddance to an awful year) so I went out with Indi and did yet again close up shots of the leaves and views in frost. Hope you enjoy the images and they give you an idea of the variety of shots you can get with the fabulous Fuji X100V  I hope 2021 brings you all health and happiness  Mark

Indi features on the blog today

Indi on her stroll and an excellent grab shot at the end ! Going out with Indi and her favourite rope toy as she loves and adores chasing it all over the woods although she is elderly and unsteady. The blog shows our journey and at the end I saw our happy refuse collection team member- he was happy to pose once I asked him. Hope you enjoy the photos dear viewer and thanks for looking  Come on dad hurry up let’s go! Happy in his work! Absolutely worn out old girl

Nature a bit closer

The V does close focus.... The MK2 lens that comes on the X100V is a welcome change from the original version. This lens does seem to render colour and shadow details better and is a little more contrasty in its output. The flip screen also is a welcome addition I don’t wish to enter the “screengate debate” but the screen is very much like the X70 I owned (I wish I had kept it). It allows low shooting to be carried out with ease, the way Fuji have designed it is simply beautiful as once closed it sits perfectly flush to the camera body. Well that’s enough Fuji rambling on from me now for some photos:

Winter seems very mild here in the UK

I can’t remember the last time we had proper winter weather... I can remember getting stuck on the way home from work in a sudden freezing snow downpour back in 2010, we seem to get mild but sometimes stormy rain days now. So on such a cold but still day me and Indi and the V went out - the photography following shows this small corner of Buckinghamshire from my viewpoint  The last shots show the development of the moss getting ready for a new year. Hope you enjoy them Mark

Cold winter sun day

A cold winter sun walk  It’s always lovely to see the sun again even if it’s nearly freezing point outside, the air feels so clean and in polluted. The planes are pretty few and far between normality due to the Covid-19 pandemic as I have said we do know we are luckier than some living through this pandemic. The latest news of a new strain is worrying but only time will tell. Anyway back on topic with the photography, again I was drawn to colour so this features heavily. I appear intentionally in a shadow in one shot!

Peaceful Boxing Day

A simple short stroll.... We decided on a simple short stroll today so the V came too and we concentrated on the near and not the far. The sky was that featureless milky grey colour - not much you can do with that, it does however create a flat light within the woods. I basically kept looking around at the vibrancy of the moss green colour against the old and decaying leaves of this summer that seems so far back. I hope as a viewer of this blog you enjoy the images. Regards Mark

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas in this different and difficult time hope everyone stays safe...
