Nature a bit closer

The V does close focus....

The MK2 lens that comes on the X100V is a welcome change from the original version. This lens does seem to render colour and shadow details better and is a little more contrasty in its output.
The flip screen also is a welcome addition I don’t wish to enter the “screengate debate” but the screen is very much like the X70 I owned (I wish I had kept it). It allows low shooting to be carried out with ease, the way Fuji have designed it is simply beautiful as once closed it sits perfectly flush to the camera body.

Well that’s enough Fuji rambling on from me now for some photos:

Fuji X100V Daily Photos

Fuji X100V Daily So I decided to build a blog about daily photos with my beautiful Fuji X100V I have been a Fuji X photographer for over 10 years and especially the X100. The fixed lens really helps with creativity This image was shot underneath my car port The top light really helped with the shadows I have found walking out and about with my camera a mindful experience, it helps you balance with nature and slow down in this difficult world. The leaves above seem to show sadness at the change of the seasons resting peacefully on a fallen tree  Exposure wise for those that are photographers 1/30 sec shutter speed f 3.6 ISO 500, it’s easy to handhold the X100V for a shot like this. I suppose some would ask why not use a phone for these shots? I understand this but being a photographer you need to use a camera!

My bird and wildlife camera

I have kept with Olympus and now have an E-M1X an absolute beast in the M4:3 world. It came out in 2019 and was sold for a number of years, it been superceded by the OM1 Mkii but I still believe this is the king of the genre. Of course it's very large in this sensor world but very small compared to the likes of Canon or Nikon with a battery grip built in. I shoot macro and wildlife and of course my family. This camera performed so well in all these types of photography, below are firstly my latest examples of bird photography at which the cameras built in AI tracked the heron.

Down to the park

Back to Hughenden park... A little picture heavy today but the sun was out and Hughenden park looked fabulous  Indi loves being out down there her tail was wagging quite a lot  It was a bit of struggle to get Indi into my car which is a Toyota IQ a great small runabout but not ideal GSD transport!
