Close up with the 10F actually very useful....
You can get close with the Fuji XF10 and do some nice flower shots as per below.
For those of you that own this camera or are thinking about getting it, the focus system relies on contrast to detect an edge etc. When I was in the woods taking the photo of some of the flowers obviously the light levels were pretty low, so hence the contrast would be too and it struggled a little.
One trick I learnt from the days of film with manual focus was to put the palm of my hand near or right behind the subject - this works wonders with the little XF10. It gives the focus something to ‘bite’ onto and therefore then you can refocus and the camera is nearly the perfect position and won’t mis focus.
Remember contrast detection needs an edge or change in contrast in the scene to focus - this isn’t a fault with the camera.
