More bird photography and other work

We have feeders like many have in our garden, we have a family of Blue Tits in the local area that are feeding their young. The parents have been so busy back and forth they dont seem to have time to look after their appearance. Also a juvenile Robin landed on my garden fence so i grabbed a shot! The bee was taken with the G9 and 100-400 Leica panasonic lens. The dendelion (Taraxacum) was taken on the beautiful Finepix X100

The daisy and sky shot was with the Google Pixel 6!

Fuji X100V Daily Photos

Fuji X100V Daily So I decided to build a blog about daily photos with my beautiful Fuji X100V I have been a Fuji X photographer for over 10 years and especially the X100. The fixed lens really helps with creativity This image was shot underneath my car port The top light really helped with the shadows I have found walking out and about with my camera a mindful experience, it helps you balance with nature and slow down in this difficult world. The leaves above seem to show sadness at the change of the seasons resting peacefully on a fallen tree Exposure wise for those that are photographers 1/30 sec shutter speed f 3.6 ISO 500, it’s easy to handhold the X100V for a shot like this. I suppose some would ask why not use a phone for these shots? I understand this but being a photographer you need to use a camera!

Macro photography

So this is a new passion for me - macro photography. The Olympus OMD EM1 MK3 has a great macro set up with the 60mm f2.8 macro lens. I also acquired a great flash diffuser to use with my Pixapro 350 flash. More off camera flash with The Fujifilm finepix X100

So today was our grandson Freddie care day or as it's known to us "Freddie Friday" I chose the X100 original for all these shots and used a cord to trigger the large V850 Godox flash to fire. I also used a demflip modifier which is basically like a bounce card of old days use. It gives quite soft light as you can see from these shots. If anyone is interested in the actual set up I would be happy to explain my technique and the equipment used. What it does prove is the little original Fujifilm from 2010 still gives wonderful colour and lovely photography.
