A new post with a 'new' camera

Sadly I have been neglecting the blog and I don't really have any excuses except, many episodes of ill health and safe arrival of our new granddaughter Georgia We are so blessed.

I decided to buy an additional micro 4 thirds camera so I got a mint condition Panasonic GX80 and Olympus 17 mm f1.8 this is a beautiful lens too. With the camera came the Panasonic 12 - 32 f3.5 f5.6 kit lens, this is an amazing sharp little cheap lens plastic mount but so useful.

The photos I have added below show the kit and some results from it, 16mp is plenty enough I was guilty as everyone else thinking that more pixels give better images. It's the same with Olympus and my move to that system I am happy with it's images and colour science and that's someone who has shot with Fujifilm!

Fuji X100V Daily Photos

Fuji X100V Daily So I decided to build a blog about daily photos with my beautiful Fuji X100V I have been a Fuji X photographer for over 10 years and especially the X100. The fixed lens really helps with creativity This image was shot underneath my car port The top light really helped with the shadows I have found walking out and about with my camera a mindful experience, it helps you balance with nature and slow down in this difficult world. The leaves above seem to show sadness at the change of the seasons resting peacefully on a fallen tree Exposure wise for those that are photographers 1/30 sec shutter speed f 3.6 ISO 500, it’s easy to handhold the X100V for a shot like this. I suppose some would ask why not use a phone for these shots? I understand this but being a photographer you need to use a camera!

Back to Hughenden park... A little picture heavy today but the sun was out and Hughenden park looked fabulous Indi loves being out down there her tail was wagging quite a lot It was a bit of struggle to get Indi into my car which is a Toyota IQ a great small runabout but not ideal GSD transport!

A try out Fujifilm Finepix X100

Finepix X100 10 years young! Out with just the original X100 today as I said I am selling my V powerhouse of a beautiful camera and stepping back in time with the original X100. It's a true condition GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) I am have suffered from this too. In buying every version of the X100 but have kept the original in storage within my house. The Original, S,T and F all had the same f2 lens, the V had the MKII version which was sharper and much faster focusing than all the other variants put together. In looking back through Adobe Lightroom Mobile CC that I use on this Samsung Tablet the images looked very sharp but potentially too sterile in their output. I decided after watching Chris Orange on you tube ( very good channel) that he loved the older generations of sensor output, so I decided to break out the original the Fujifilm Finepix X100 from 2010 ( this started me with Fuji addiction) I saw it at the Photography Show and was smitten.
