 Although I do actually love my Finepix X100 I have just paid for another camera - the   X100 S I am so sorry to my little Finepix X100 it has now been left on the shelf for the time being. I think the rendering and refining they carried out on the S ironed out most of the "faults" with the original they improved the IQ quite a bit with the 16 MP sensor the same used in the T variant. I have found the 'S' to be slightly sharper in detail and much faster to operate. So all of today's images were taken with my new to me X100 S the first few are of our local church here where we live, some of the other pond scenes are a little walk out into the countryside near our home. The final photo is of a real character in our village Henry the Red Setter. I think this image shows the sharpness of the S files

So today was our grandson Freddie care day or as it's known to us "Freddie Friday" I chose the X100 original for all these shots and used a cord to trigger the large V850 Godox flash to fire. I also used a demflip modifier which is basically like a bounce card of old days use. It gives quite soft light as you can see from these shots. If anyone is interested in the actual set up I would be happy to explain my technique and the equipment used. What it does prove is the little original Fujifilm from 2010 still gives wonderful colour and lovely photography.

The X100 got very bored so it came out for two photos in the rain It still does some very nice shots .....

So this is a new passion for me - macro photography. The Olympus OMD EM1 MK3 has a great macro set up with the 60mm f2.8 macro lens. I also acquired a great flash diffuser to use with my Pixapro 350 flash. It's been a long decision making process but i feel that now its final.... Now i have invested in an Olympus camera for all my photography. I chose this system because it offers the most in features and performance of i think most manufacturers. I chose them due to their low weight and excellent lenses they offer a pro level service with repairs and cleaning too. The sharpness of the camera I have chosen is remarkable it is an Olympus OMD 1 Mkiii and has 6 stops of image stabilisation which helps me a great deal. Lens wise I will be buying their 12 -45 f/4.0 pro lens and the amazing 60mm f/2 .8 macro lens for a new venture of macro photography. I hope to post some images on here soon Mark

 Today I tried out the Finepix X100 in jpeg mode to see if it renders a good image  Indi was in her dog cage/bed and just had to be photographed! I quite like the files from this little old camera more now than ever before, there's a certain depth and softness that really gives the image character. For those that are interested the exposure was 1/30 sec f/4.0 ISO 3200 the camera was supported on a manfrotto pixie tripod. Below is an image from yesterday this was lit with flash from the camera and it really gives beautiful RAW files from this camera are really adaptable and easily edited.
